Final Score:…….Pro Stars FC…….1……..ANB Futbol………5……..

Attendance was about 70 on this mild evening with a bright sun setting in the north west
when not covered by clouds and a wind that stopped and started most of the game.

When the game started with a goal in the second minute I was thinking this could get
ugly as Pro Stars lost their last two league games 8-1 to Vaughan Azzurri two weekends
ago and 8-0 to Durham United last weekend. I hadn’t thought they only lost their Cup
game quarterfinal to Durham 1-0 on Wednesday night. ANB won their Cup quarterfinal
3-1 against Vaughan on Thursday night. ANB did threaten consistantly until their
second goal but it wasn’t another blowout.

Adonijah Reid scored three goals and assisted on one of the others. He was born
in 1999 (I couldn’t find out on the web what day or month) so he’s either 15 or 16.
For his small size and great control and radar to find open spots in the net to shoot
at he must be considered the Giovinco of this league. This would make 12 goals
in League and Cup play so far this season and put him in second place in the
scoring race.

Leaford Allen was often the only man up the field for Pro Stars in the first half
and it was almost impossible to break free to get a shot on net although he got
a few. There was usually always a last defender there to break up any Pro Stars run
or their players would be called offside or push the ball over the end line before
they could send in a cross.

I confirmed with referee Justin Tasev after the game that he only gave out three
Yellow cards (two to Pro Stars) all within the last 25 minutes of the game.

The loss drops Pro Stars to a record of 2 wins, 2 ties, 8 losses for 8 points and
tenth place in the twelve team league. ANB improves to 7 wins, 3 ties, 2 losses
for 24 points and fourth place.
