#5. Gilberto goal on the road in Montreal

Although he never quite lived up to his own expectations, Brazilian DP, Gilberto was always a threat during his time in Toronto. Facing off against the Impact in Montreal, he personified the rivalry between the Reds and the Bleu-Blanc-Noir.

On this day TFC took it to their hosts from the get go. Spending the better portion of their time in the attacking half, a smart and skillful switch in the point of attack by Michael Bradley gave Dominic Oduro a wide open wing to have his way with. A quick first touch by Oduro sent in a cross that found a wide open Gilberto, just inside the 18. The Brazilian made absolutely no mistake, launching a rocket just under the bar to give the Reds a deserved lead. A feather in the cap of a hard working player to score in a heated derby match.
