#2 Impact Top 2014 Moments

2. Qualifying for 2014-15 CCL

After a disappointing MLS season there were few reasons for Montreal fans to remember 2014 fondly. However, qualifying for the CONCACAF 2014-15 season was a great achievement considering they defeated a star-studded Toronto FC roster to claim the Canadian CCL spot and the Voyageurs Cup. After narrowly defeating FC Edmonton in the semi-final 2ng leg that was filled with controversy, the Impact went on to face their biggest rivals, Toronto FC. Designated Players Jermain Defoe and Michael Bradley were a force to be reckoned with but thanks to an inform Justin Mapp and late goal by Felipe the Impact were victorious. After the conclusion of the 2014 season the Impact went back to the drawing board and made some changes to their broken roster. Few pundits backed the Impact to go much further than the CCL group stage but now they have advanced to the semi-finals of the CCL after their stunning victory over Pachuca earlier this week.
