#1 Impact Top 2014 Moments

1. Au revoir Di Vaio

Ask Montreal fans who their favourite player is since joining MLS and one name will be the most common response. Marco Di Vaio. The legendary Italian striker made the move to Canada in 2012 and his presence had an immediate effect on the Montreal Impact. Marco found the back of the net 34 times in 76 appearances for Montreal which is quite frankly, an incredible achievement. Di Vaio truly embraced both his new city and team. His performance on the field in 2013 was exquisite as he lead the Impact to their first ever MLS playoff appearance.

When the team was struggling in 2014 he continued to be the main attacking threat. His final game in a Montreal jersey came on October 25th against DC United. Of course he scored in the 26th minute and was eventually substituted as the fans around Stade Saputo rose to their feet and saluted the Italian one last time.
